Hey everyone,
Many of you know me as ImagesAndWords from forums like WickedFire, the SSEC forum, the SQUIRT forum, CashTactics forum, and the Xrumer forum.

Computers have been a big part of my life since 1988 when I got my first Commodore 128D. I was introduced to the internet in 1992 when I started college. Back then it was more like a science project limited to college kids and there was not even a surfable “web” to speak of.

I knew the potential of the internet early on, but sadly never used all the opportunities back then to monetize it. For years I only used the net for email and surfing for fun. I moved to the United States in 1996 and studied for a Master’s degree in computer science. At this point, I used the internet for everything - except to make money

But hey - I did meet my wife on IRC in ‘97 and we’re still happily married! So some good things came out of it.

It wasn’t until 2004 that my newfound interest in the internet became stronger. I had moved back to Norway with my family and finally saw an opportunity to make extra money online. So I started my own hosting company from scratch and got off to a VERY good start. It became a big success within a few months. Within a year, I had customers migrating away from major competitors and coming to me!

Customers included a division of Pakistan Airlines(!), a couple of big online retailers, one of the biggest logistics (transport) companies in Scandinavia, as well as many well-known portal pages and celebrity blogs.

And during this time, I started learning more about additional ways to monetize websites. I read up on everything I could come across. Joined a few forums and started networking. It was pretty clear that internet marketing was where the money was at. I knew then that at some point, I would want to replace my hosting business with an all new business model.

I am now focusing all my energy and free time on building multiple income streams from affiliate marketing, email marketing, website flipping, and domaining. My main traffic source is PPC but I also use other ways to bring in the visitors I need.

Alongside my heavy shift to internet marking I also started up PROFITAPOLIS to keep myself and others dedicated and motivated. I want to dedicate it to sharing articles, tutorials, guides and information related to internet marketing, ppc affiliate marketing, email marketing, blackhat techniques, conversion optimization, and much more.
