Tradedoubler’s AdMatch Launches
Yesterday was the launch of a new contextual ad network - offered by Tradedoubler. The network, called AdMatch looks promising, and gives affiliates three options of ad creatives:
- Traditional text blocks (similar to the Adsense textual ad unit)

- Traditional image blocks (similar to the Adsense image ad unit)

- Contextual product ads (similar to ShoppingAds)

It will be interesting to see how well their text and image ads pay out, not to mention how relevant the displayed ads will be. Many people despise the Yahoo Publisher Network for showing totally irrelevant ads half the time. Hopefully this is something AdMatch will do well.
What I would like test here soon is their contextual product ads. This can only be used with Tradedoubler merchants that you are signed up with, but I imagine could be very powerful if used right. Like with ShoppingAds, you can have the ads show purely based on context, or based on keywords you specify. Hint: this is awesome for those dynamically created landing pages.
But the big difference here is that whereas ShoppingAds only pay out measle CPC for their clicked product ads - TradeDoubler’s product ads will pay out the % commission of the product sold if the customer buys through the ad.
I still haven’t found any major limitations in their TOS yet, so I’m thinking you can build some serious high-CTR page templates for this – just like in the old days with Adsense arbitrage. Images next to text ads anyone?
Hopefully AdMatch will prove a worthy alternative to the banned-before-you-know-it Adsense.

Good post. You make some great points that most people do not fully understand.

I like how you explained that. Very helpful. Thanks.

I appreciate that, Evaine.
I have thought about writing up a small case study on how ads like that can be set up with a dynamically created page. I will add it to my todo-list
